Hi everyone. We’ve been quiet for a while with real life throwing up many hideous challenges, but nothing stops the music getting made in the background.
These are 2 taster tracks from the delayed album “Pointing Paw” that should have been released in 2020 and should have been the 4th Sinister Locals album, but Covid restrictions prevented this, resulting in “On the blink” taking its place.
The album is now finished and should be going to the factory soon, for a late July release.
“Pointing Paw” the song is very much the product of the restrictions on our lives imposed last March and is understandably mournful and reflective, driven by organ and tambura drones.
“Insurrection (Malice in the palace)” is an odd mash up of The Monkees in the verse and something much more odd on the floating chorus.
The ultra high vocals at the end were painful to sing, but worth it in the end. Try and sing along with them but you may injure yourself, as indeed I did.
